Abundant Life Christian Academy’s formula for success begins with the Word of God. As stated in 2 Timothy 2:16-17 (KJV), “all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” We believe the foundation for any child to be truly successful is the instruction and daily application of God’s Word within the child’s life. As a result, our students will develop a love for His Word, produce the character of Christ, and develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

The Word of God is incorporated throughout the academic instruction. Academic and biblical teaching is not intended to be separate. Through the implementation of a traditional approach to education, our outstanding curriculum teaches each subject matter though lecture, reading, memorization, drill, recitation, and oral and written examination. Our classroom curriculum is also designed to incorporate multiple types of teaching methods to accommodate the types of learning styles in the individual students. Students differ uniquely in their learning, abilities, and talents. We purposely design their learning with the individual in mind, while developing with their peers in a group setting. Through educational training and the Holy Spirit, our teachers are trained to discern the individual abilities in our students and provide proper instruction that will engage the whole child.

 

Godly character development is also expected to bear fruit in the lives of our students.  “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12, KJV). As leaders, our students are encouraged and trained to be godly examples; allowing the Word to define who they are. They will possess leadership qualities through the character of Christ that will produce stewardship, initiate responsibility, and cultivate creativity. By setting the example we are expecting our students to be ground breaking leaders who will impact this world for Jesus Christ.

 

In Daniel 1:20 (KJV) it states, “in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.” We have a proper expectation that our children should be ten times wiser than the children of this world. Regardless of socio-economic conditions, family background, race, or culture; our Academy challenges and sets the standards high--demolishing all excuses for students not to learn or succeed.
